Renowned American designer Jacquie Aiche is admired for her talent and creativity.

Jacquie Aiche began her career as a saleswoman in a boutique in Los Angeles where she exhibited her jewelry anonymously. The success was immediate, so she decided to devote herself entirely to her passion. Sometimes delicate and sensual, sometimes exuberant, extravagant, the creations of Jacquie Aiche never go unnoticed. Hippy-rock, gypsy-chic, boho, her jewelry undoubtedly gives women a feeling of confidence, freedom and audacity. Let’s meet her a little bit better…

The Eye is very often present in your creations, it rocked our childhood, for you, for us… What does it evoke deeply inside you ?

The evil eye is a good luck totem and a symbol of protection. When I was a little girl, I was always adorned in eyes as my grandmother strongly believed in their power. When I started designing, I knew I had to incorporate them into my collections. They are such a big part of who I am… And now in my designs, they have become incredibly personal and sacred amulets. I never take mine off.

You have Egyptian origins. Greece, Egypt are the cradles of our civilization, how are your origins expressed in your personality, your creations ?

Growing up, my father and grandmother were deeply rooted in their Egyptian heritage. I loved listening to their stories and learning from their traditions. My grandmother would adorn herself in layers of beautiful amulets that were unlike anything I’d ever seen… Each one was mesmerizing and had a deeper meaning, a sacred energy and history that she would share with me. I find so much inspiration from Egyptian culture – the bold colors, hammered gold accents, amulets and goddess imagery. All of these motifs carry an undeniable power.

You are as solaire as your creations, how would you talk about your jewelry ?

Our jewelry is so much more than meets the eye… It honestly feels more spiritual than material because it has the power to completely shift your energy. I have always been drawn to gemstones and minerals, mixing colors and their organic shapes… And my classic diamonds and gold collection has everyday essentials that you can live in. I design my jewels with the intention to enhance the natural beauty of their beholder. They are sensual, free-spirited, and made for a life of adventure.

You live in Los Angeles, do the sky, the sea influence your creations ?

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by Mother Earth’s beauty daily. The sun, the sky and the sea have greatly influenced my designs. They bring clarity and a deep sense of peace within…I’ll always be a California girl and that energy comes through in everything I create. 

What jewel could you never get rid of ?

My most precious piece of jewelry is a ring that my father bought for my mother the day I was born. She gave it to me on my eighteenth birthday and I have cherished it ever since.

Where are you going on vacation this summer Jacquie ?

I love a getaway…This summer I’ll be spending some time in Morocco. I’m so excited to experience such a beautiful, vibrant place.
