A veritable institution since 1964, the restaurant is renowned for its must-have souvlaki, pitas, saganaki, hot peppers, Greek salads, fresh tzatziki and other traditional dishes.
Ideally located in Mitropoleos Street, near the Acropolis and Plaka, O Thanasis is the meeting place for locals and tourists, especially on Sunday lunchtimes before taking a stroll in the small pedestrian streets around. This place is charged with vitality and energy. The servers are as welcoming as they are charming and the bill more than reasonable. In short, O Thanasis is a must for lunch.
