After Shila, Paris/Athènes Magazine, once again, fell under the spell of Mona, a sublime place, in the heart of our favorite capital, where simplicity rhymes one more time with authenticity.
Imagined by the creators of Shila (read our article in this same section), located in the heart of downtown Athens, in Psirri more precisely, one of the liveliest areas of Athens, Mona is a concept, a kind of boutique-hotel where eclectic objects and works of art in each space are available for purchase.
Housed in an eight-storey industrial factory from the 1950s, celebrating 70 years of history, the hotel has succeeded in sublimating its style : bold iron staircase, terrazzo floors, original metal windows, marble facade… This former factory textile exudes industrial and urban tones, harmoniously balancing the old with the new.
Twenty rooms with character are available, a café lounge & bar as well, as a hidden bar in the basement. The rooftop, only accessible to guests, is absolutely divine. From there, the view is endless, dominating the Athenian cityscape including, of course, the famous Acropolis.
Steeped in the spirit of the city, like its big sister Shila, Mona is a sprawling playground for travelers, artists, emerging brands, photography and film productions, pop-ups and private events.
