For the very first time, Margiela's visual artworks are being showcased in Greece. The event is taking place at the Bernier/Eliades gallery in Athens and will run until May 15th. The launch of this event has been highly successful, drawing the presence of notable figures from the realms of art and fashion.
Famous for founding Maison Martin Margiela in 1988, the designer departed from the fashion industry to dedicate himself exclusively to visual arts since 2009. Always intrigued by art history, the Baroque movement, Surrealism, Pop Art, among others, his interest has never waned. As an observer, he enjoys repurposing the most mundane everyday objects. Through his artworks, the artist invites viewers to perceive them in new ways.
