"I love dancing with the history of sports to contribute to the history of art, and vice versa", Tyrell Winston. From June 17th to July 22nd, 2023, the sublime gallery located in the heart of Kolonaki, at the corner of Pindarou Street and Kanari, presents the works of American artist Tyrell Winston.
Born in California in 1985, Tyrell Winston finds inspiration in the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn, collecting objects that fuel his creativity. His work is the result of a lengthy process of collecting, arranging, and transforming discarded objects. Tyrell Winston enjoys examining each object and letting himself be captivated, overcome by the enduring energy it holds.
Representative of Winston’s style, these basketball wall sculptures immerse us in the artist’s universe. He was inspired by the countless hands, filled with diverse emotions, that have touched each basketball. Each ball was found either on the street or on eBay.
