A few minutes from Omonia, in the Metaxourgeio district, at Neofitou Metaxa street, 15th, a museum dedicated to Alekos Fassianos exhibits all the talent of the Greek colourist artist.
Downtown Athens, nestled in the heart of a building designed by Kyriakos Krotos, architect but also a great friend of Alekos Fassianos, the eponymous museum offers a moment of contemplation, relaxation and tranquility, a face-to-face complicity with the obvious talent of the artist. Known and recognized, Alekos Fassianos signs the style of the 1960s, 1970s. This building designed by the artist, made by the architect, is the image of the artist : true, modern, generous.
Spread over three floors, where daylight is reflected from one wall to the other, the works of Alekos Fassianos are naturally, simply exposed to the gaze of the visitor who can appreciate the smallest details. There is intimacy, complicity in this place, where the spirit of the artist seems inhabited.
At the editorial of Paris/Athenes Magazine, we already deeply loved Alekos Fassianos for his style, his colors, his Mediterranean spirit, this museum is a bit like a gift, a second home to go to, as soon as the moment arises.
